Pre-requisite: Any of the introductory level studio art courses (Grades 10-12)
Course Description:
his is a course for intermediate to advanced art students seeking to explore their artistic/creative skills through their choice of media on a more individualized timeline. This class provides a format for students who wish to increase their level of knowledge, understanding, application, synthesis, critical skills, and appreciation of the creative process in the visual arts. For students wishing to eventually submit a portfolio to the College Board, this is a great course to further develop and polish student voice and technical skill as well as creating more time to fulfill all of the portfolio requirements prior to submitting.
Workload Expectations:
This is a studio based course meaning that most work will be completed during class time and will be project based. This is not a homework intensive course. Homework might consist of sketching, finishing projects if extra time is needed and any class time is missed, and/or bringing in visual references for inspiration.
